Cart Based Systems can be extremely expensive for facilities with a number
of privately owned golf cars. In order to track all golf cars on the
course, all of the cars, club owned and privately owned, must have a GPS
system on board. With the XY Golf Portable System an inexpensive car mount
cradle is installed on each of the cars. The GPS unit is placed in the car
before a round of golf. A GPS system comprising 80 Portable Units will
satisfy most 18 hole courses, even if the course has, for example, 200
privately owned and club owned golf cars. Best of all, an 80 unit Portable
System can be one-fifth the price of a 200 unit Cart Based System.
